The Next Frontier (Levels 10-20): Brian Kopp's 1-70 Alliance Leveling Guide

Today, I reached level 20 in only 18 hours 15 minutes and 9 seconds on my dwarf hunter on the Illidan PVP server. This time, I died 16 times and made a couple silly mistakes. I figure that about an hour was wasted. Even though my time is not as fast as I want it to be, it represents how inexperienced I am with the game. If I can level character is this short amount of time, then anyone can do it too if not better. As I am using the guide more, I am developing my own tips for using Brian Kopp's 1-70 Alliance Leveling Guide.

1) Pay special attention to respawn rates, they can either be your best friend or your worst enemy.
2) If there are no more mobs to kill for your quest objective, kill other mobs that are around. This will influence how quickly the mobs, you want to kill, respawn. And you always want to continually gain experience.
3) If the guide mentions that you should be a certain level, grind mobs from your previous objective until you are that level.
4) Manage your mana/rage/energy efficiently. You want to kill as much as you can in the shortest amount of time. You want to avoid downtimes as much as possible.
5) Most important of them all: Do not rush yourself in reading/following the guide. You may miss something and regret it later.

Until next time, Almost Half Way! (Levels 20-30)...

First Impressions(Levels 1-10): Brian Kopps' 1-70 Alliance Leveling Guide

After finishing the first part of this leveling series, I have been pretty impressed by Brian Kopps' 1-70 Alliance Leveling Guide. As you can see from the screenshot shown above, I was able to reach level 10 within 4 hours and 2 minutes. There are several factors that I believe contributed to this time.

I am relatively familiar with the dwarf/gnome starting area, so that worked in my favor for most cases. I also have played a low-level hunter before. However, I did make mistakes and died 7 times along the way. I estimate that the mistakes and deaths cost me about 30 minutes.

A person would also be able to improve his/her leveling time by reading ahead and being familiar with the map. Brian also gives a lot of great information in his “Tips” section at the beginning of his guide. Brian does use coordinates throughout his guide, so having a coordinate mod is a must. However, I believe that the guide can be user-friendlier by telling you from whom you get the quests, instead of just telling you to “accept ‘Quest Name Here.’” It is hard to determine how effective the guide is so early in the game. But, the choice of quests are efficiently planned out.

Coming soon… The Next Frontier-Levels 10-20.

Preview: Brian Kopps' 1-70 Alliance Leveling Guide

I just got my hands on the Brian Kopps' 1-70 Alliance Leveling Guide so I decided to see if it is worth the money. Over the next several weeks, I am going to follow the leveling guide step-by-step to verify the validity of the leveling guide. I will be creating a dwarf hunter on the Illidan PVP server. Every 10 levels, I will update you with my status, along with my thoughts and screenshots for proof. Can I really get a character to level 60 in 5-7 /played days? Is it possible to have a level 70 character within 12 /played days?

Stay tuned for my results.
